The Best Online Retailers for Health Supplements

The best online retailers for health supplements

With online retail sales growing at a rate of 17% per year, it’s not surprising that there are hundreds of online retailers offering health supplements.

But deciding on which site you are going to spend your hard earned cash can be a little confusing sometimes. “Do I trust the site?” “Are they reliable?” “Do they offer fast delivery?” are all some of the common questions that will be going through your mind when you’re trying to decide where to make your purchases.

That’s why I have put together a short list of some of the best online retailers for health supplements today, based on criteria such as user feedback, range of products, and offers and deals. (Soundbodylife has no relationship with any of these retailers, financial or otherwise.)

Top of my list comes A1 supplements. Touting themselves as “Americas favorite supplement store,” they do a good job of living up to their name.

As far as products go, they offer a large range of health supplements, from the typical protein powders, BCAAs and other fitness supplements, to more unheard of health supplements such as Boswellia extract and Guggel. Don’t worry if you aren’t familiar with everything they sell, as they provide helpful information on the origins and use of each supplement, and the search engine embedded on their site will allow you to search by desired results, such as “lowered cholesterol,” rather than the product name.

They carry a large variety of well-known brands as well as some lesser-known manufacturers, which is good as it shows they aren’t just supporting the fat cats at the top of the food chain. The products are also well categorized, which makes it easy to drill down to the specific product you want.

The website itself is a pleasure to use; its layout is nice and simple—and there’s nothing worse than an overcomplicated flash site. They show a few of their latest, most popular deals and offers right on the home page, which is handy for snapping up those bargains. One thing that I like a lot about this retailer and their site are the helpful articles and forum sections where you can find product reviews, discuss your fat burning tactics, find meal recipes, and much more.

Customer support is good, and they offer live chat on the site, instantly giving credibility to an online retailer. Other highlights include their in-stock guarantee, which means that if the site states they have it, they really do, and aim to ship it within 24 hours; there’s never waiting around for new stock to arrive. They also offer a wide range of payment types and shipping options, and will deliver to every country legally possible.

They are a well-trusted business and accredited member of the Greater East Tennessee Better Business Bureau, which rates them as A+. They were also awarded a Stella Service Excellence badge in 2013.

2. Evitamins.com

Next on my list of best online retailers for health supplements is eVitamins.com, one of North Americas leading health supplement suppliers.

Their health supplement range is vast, well defined, and offers a more holistic approach to the health supplement range. They also offer up more niche categories such as sexual health, supplements for children and babies, and even health products for pets, making them stand out a bit more when compared to other supplement retailers. They take a more medical approach to product choices rather than just trying to make sales, and pride themselves on having a quality research team comprised of doctors, nutritionists, and personal trainers. That being said, the prices are competitive and you can save a bundle, too.

The website is well-structured, and everything you need can be found with ease. There is a nice menu system that defines their core business and also allows you to drill down and be more specific. There is also a handy little A-Z menu at the top that makes it super easy to find exact products by name.

Domestic shipping is free for order over $49.00, which is nice, and they can also deliver to a large list of countries world-wide.

They are accredited with the Better Business Bureau with an A rating; they have received a minute 4 complaints in the previous 3 years.

3. GNC.com

Last on my list is the well know GNC store, one of the world’s leading companies in general health supplementation. And with large popularity comes large responsibilities, but luckily, GNC is and has been doing a good job for many years.

While most people will be familiar with the physical stores, the GNC online catalog of health supplements is vast and well varied. Anything from digestion aids and ear care to hard-core muscle builders can be found; there really is something for everyone. Not only that, but they also manufacture and sell their own line of health supplements, showing they are well established in the supplement world. Prices can be a little on the expensive side, but you are paying for quality. They do have a dedicated area for sales and promotions, which makes things dead easy when looking for some bargains.

They have a medical advisory board with Joseph C. Maroon, M.D., an award-winning neurosurgeon, in the driving seat, which adds more credibility to the company.

Their website is clean, modern, and user intuitive, making browsing and shopping a pleasure, and they also offer some unique services such as the GNC Vitamin guide, and the Protein calculator, which sets them apart from other health supplement stores. One thing that I especially like about GNC’s online operation is the fact that you do not pay for your items until they are shipped. That way, you can be 100% certain that your goods are on the way.

They were awarded an Excellent STELLAService seal in June 2011, given only to those companies with exceptionally high quality customer service.
